Methods

VISION SESSION WITH SHAREHOLDER

In the course of the vision session, the founder's goal-setting and motives are revealed. His position on the company's development options for the medium- and long-term horizon is clarified. Various scenarios and options are considered. As a result, the shareholders' vision of the company's development is formed and the ToR for the management to develop the strategy are fixed. If there are several shareholders, we conduct mediation to reconcile their positions and develop a joint shareholder vision.

STRUCTURED INDIVIDUAL INTERVIEWS WITH MANAGERS

We conduct orientation interviews with session participants. They are conducted individually, with 5-8 supervisors, selectively. The results are summarized in a single matrix, analyzed, and conclusions are formulated. Key hypotheses are put forward for discussion. This work has 2 effects: it allows you to know in advance the characteristics of the team and the context. And the participants of the session begin to form a view of the company as a whole, not from their own functional well.

HOMEWORK

As a mandatory preparatory stage, we suggest organizing homework for the participants of the session. Homework includes elements of research and practical assignments. The design of homework assignments is discussed and approved by the Client. The results of the assignments are defended at the session and at the same time are materials describing the strategic context and successful market cases.

DISC

We conduct DISC business profiling and identify the personality types of all managers in advance. As a result of discussing the profiles, interactions are improved. A new system of communication is created based on strengths, weaknesses, individual motivations, trust and shared purpose. Each team member and the team as a whole will receive an assessment and recommendations on how to work with everyone and how to strengthen team interaction.

We also propose to attract top experts from target companies with best practices to work at the preparation stage or at the strategic session itself. As possible experts we suggest to consider top managers of federal and international level from leading companies, related or leading industries. We work out the composition and the degree of participation of the involved experts with the Customer after the project goals have been agreed upon.

- presentation of a report at the session: description of trends, a specific case from their experience, etc. 1-1.5 hours
- participation in strategic analysis at the stage of preparation for the session. 3-4 hours

STRATEGY SESSION

Communicate the shareholder's vision and long-term goals. Build commitment to the goals among top management. Analyze the market and internal context. We look for growth points, directions and drivers of development. Decompose goals into specific tasks, initiatives and projects. We form a matrix of responsible persons. Design the concept of a new business model. We get to an enlarged calendar and resource planning.

STRATEGIC TEAM GAME COMMANDOS

As part of the session, we offer our author's team game.
The game lasts 1 hour. It is designed in such a way that the team is mobilized, familiar roles and patterns become more prominent, and self-organization emerges. In case of success - the team gets a strong energy charge and experience of team interaction.
In case of failure - the moderator conducts "work on mistakes" and the team learns valuable experience.

TRACKING SESSION

We form the team's responsibility for strategy implementation not only at the level of internal agreements, but also in front of an external observer.
Conducted online, in zoom-format, 2-3 months after project completion. During the session, progress on the session decisions and the status of project implementation is monitored.
